It looks like it is going to be more of a process through a procession of works to become less derivative. That means more work, but less thought.
How will I know when the goal has been achieved?

I’m a writer and I know the feeling. You look at what you’ve made and see someone else’s work - work you love or which has influenced you in what you’ve done. Bloom calls it ‘the anxiety of influence’. I celebrate it - in part b/c I think we have no choice in it in the early decades. Even something wholly your ‘own’ might be borne as a reaction against something else or someone else. I hope by the time I’m 60 I’m doing something stylistically fresh or individual. But the content, I think is where originality resides, esp in the first few decades of engagement in saying of a life what no one else can say—in any art.

Also,

I suppose as time passes, enough influences and events synthesize in a consistent pattern that gradually builds into individual style.
Technically, it is probably not possible to be fresh/original and have an evolved style.
It is my hope that experimentation with similar themes in varied media will satisfy the needs for both evolvement and the crystallization of voice.
