Having accomplished this goal myself over a ten year period, I know how challenging it can look when you are seeing the big number. What worked for me was organizing things based upon interest rates and focusing on paying off the things that were costing me the most money first (e.g. the highest interest rates). As each thing got paid off, I applied the money I’d been sinking into paying that off against the next highest. This way I didn’t spend that money on something else since I was already used to not having it.

I know that a part-time job doesn’t really help that much, but I did pick up a couple part-time jobs. I actually used the money from these for my “fun money” to go to the movies or buy comic books or something. I actually still have these part-time jobs now and use the money from them the same way.
