stop drinking coffee (read all 4 entries…)
month is over! 5 months ago

It’s been one month sans caffeine and so I’m calling this “done”. Really don’t think I’ll go back to drinking coffee. Still have this strange dependency on decaf – it’s funny that it has turned out to be the morning ritual that is hard to break, not the caffeine addiction. So maybe I’ll try herbal tea instead. At any rate, I highly recommend tapering off instead of going cold turkey – I managed to avoid the nasty withdrawal headaches that way. Really never thought I could do this, but now I feel like anything is possible!

Congratulations from an avowed

coffee addict. This is amazing. i don’t know if I’m ready to take the leap yet, but maybe some day. But I certainly congratulate you on your success. I know you have to be healthier.

thanks so much!

Believe me, if I can do it, anyone can. I was the type of person who, given the choice between getting to work on time and getting her coffee in, would choose coffee every time. No question about it…

At any rate, I chose this goal because it seemed like one of the hardest things I could possibly do, so it really really really means a lot to me to mark it as complete. Of course, right after I posted “done” I realized that the end of the month isn’t until tomorrow, but I’m pretty sure I can make it one more day, if not one more month and hopefully more.

Good luck to you when and if you decide to go for it!
