It’s absolutely breathtaking to see every single time. I’m from Alaska, the land of Norhern Lights, and even though I grew up seeing it yearly, I still experience it as if it were the first time I’m seeing it. It’s so beautiful—-colors swaying like graceful ballet dancers in the sky, changing colors and seeming like it’s coming towards you. One time, my friend drove his pick up truck while me and others lay on our backs in the open back and watched it as my friend drove following the lights. It was amazing!

Northern Lights
I work on The North Slope and see them regularly. They are still amazing every time. I have a cool pic of the Northern Lights with Hale-Bopp comet in background. Are you sitting the boardwalk in Juneau in your picture
I am an electrical designer working in the oil fields. I just left Juneau on a ferry to Belligham 2 weeks ago. I wasrding around Juneau in the rain and sometimes a little ice on my motorcycle. I rodw from Wasilla to Skagway and then took the ferry to Juneau. I had to go back to work so I left my motorcycle at Juneau and returned two weeks later and put it on the ferry. I am on a journey across the US and maybe Mexico on my motocycle. I wook a two week on and two week off schedule that allows me to do this. Do you live in Juneau or just visiting.
i'm from juneau
I’ve lived in Juneau all my life. I left for San Francisco for college and have am currently living here in SF. I do visit Juneau during the summer seasons and holidays because my family and friends are still there. How did you like Juneau? It’s always wet there and freezing at this point. But I guess you don’t mind because your job requires you to be exposed outside a lot (right?), and you seem like the adventurous type. Your work schedule is amazing, by the way!
