Turned out he’s never seen Man vs. Wild – so I explained the fire-starting stick he has is the same kind as used by British Special Forces and also Bear Grylls when he’s on an adventure. I hope he watches the DVD soon! Mom’s birthday is in June and I bought a board game I saw at Third Place Books called “Sesquipedaliana” which is her nickname for herself (someone who uses many multi-syllable words).

did I get this right 7 syllables for the center line? I am always looking for 7 syllable words for haiku and this one has double meaning. is it spainish?

word origin

Dictionary: Sesquipedalian comes from Latin sesquipedalis, “a foot and a half long, hence inordinately long,” from sesqui, “one half more, half as much again” + pes, ped-, “a foot.”
I bet it’s fairly current in origin though.
