I'm Starting From the Very Beginning 7 months ago

I’m not young and I’ve never done these before.

When I was a kind I could do cartwheels, back bends, back walk overs, and hand stands.

Now, I can do none of that. I’m older, fatter, weaker, and less flexible.

Well, good thing you don’t have to be young to do these. Good thing I’m getting rid of the extra fat, getting stronger, and getting more flexible.

I thought I’d warm up with some sumbersaults. I can do those.

I did a head stand. Not that easy to stay up there, but balanced for a count of ten.

I was afraid to try a hand stand. Thought I’d land on my face. I’ll have to work up to that.

Backbends are out of the question for now. I did lie down and push up a little. I think I got further than I expected to but I barely got my head off the ground. I need to keep practicing these till I can push up and be standing on my hands and feet and be able to stand up straight from there and also be able to kick my feet over from there.

I did cartwheel like motions but didn’t get my feet up nearly high enough. Same fear as the hand stand fear of not wanting to smack into my face. I actually did a real cartwheel a few months ago, so I’m not worried about being able to get back the cartwheel and handstand.

I should probably be able to do all of these things, plus weigh 20 pounds less than I do now, plus be able to do 50 consecutive push ups before I even think about finding a gymnastics instructor.
