  & Kool-Aid was the drink of choice,
  wearing your new shoes on the first day of school,
  class field trips,
  when Christmas was the most exciting time of year,
  when $5 seemed like a million,
  & another dollar a miracle.
  When you begged to go to McDonalds for dinner everyday,
  when Toys ‘R’ Us overuled the mall.
  Go back to the time when argument’s were only started
  when it came to who was gonna be the red ranger,
  decisions were made by going ‘eeny-meeny-miney-moe’,
  mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming ‘do over!’
  ‘Race issue’ meant arguing about who ran the fastest,
  money issues were handled by whoever was banker in ‘Monopoly’
  It wasn’t odd to have two or three ‘best’ friends,
  being old referred to anyone over 20,
  a chance to skate as a couple at the local
  roller rink was like winning the lottery,
  scrapes & bruises were kissed & made better.
  It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride
  the ‘big people’ rides at the fair;
  when playing Nintendo was the hardest thing ever,
  when Ninja Turtles ruled the world,
  when a candy bar at the grocery store was
  the highlight of your day,
  when coupons collected all year could get you
  a prize in your class auction,
  when the only thing you cried over was your
  mom being late to pick you up,
  when stress was addition & subtraction,
  when friendships were as complicated as
  who’s house to sleep over,
  when shaving cream was just meant for play,
  when a first kiss only lead to cooties,
  when Valentines Day meant cards for all,
  when birthdays were a class event,
  when a friend moving away was the saddest day of your life,
  when the summer lasted forever,
  when time didn’t matter.
  These were the days we hadn’t realized
  escaped us until it’s all brought back.

• europe.

• i wouldnt. but i suppose that’s being uncreative. hm…i would be loaded with a k.a. body and i would be b.a. at basketball.

2. Have you ever been so bored, you made up one of these? No, but I’m bored enough to answer one.
3. Besides a significant other, who has had the biggest impact on your life? This is really hard to say, since the friend I’m thinking about here actually did turn out to be a significant other for a period.
4. What’s your dirty little secret? That I don’t have any . . .
5. What have you always wanted to say to either parent, but never had the courage? I think I’ve said it all to them.
6. What’s holding you back from achiving your dreams? Finances, and the mere fact that I presently don’t have that many dreams.
7. What’s the most disturbing dream you’ve had? Not really sure.
8. Have you ever had a dream that changed your life? No
9. Biggest pet peeve? Cell phones, but specifically, people talking on them at inopportune times (dining, at the movies, etc.).
10. Anything you’ve ever wanted to tell everyone on 43things? Thank you for all your support?
11. We all have favorite movies; what’s your favorite movie scene? Anything with Bob Uecker from the first Major League movie. Also, John Belushi’s “Did we surrender when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?” speech from Animal House.
12. Doesn’t Scarlett Johanson have beautiful hair? I guess so, but as mentioned previously, there are more beautiful things I look at about her first.
13. Do you know who you are voting for? Obama.
14. Do you think that the government should interfear with religion (like abortion) I’m not quite sure what the question is here. In terms of abortion interference, I believe the government has to make sure that it stays safe and legal for all.
15. What do you think about giving 10% of your income to church? I don’t belong to a church, so I wouldn’t be doing this.
16. how about animal rights? I do contribute to various animal organizations, but definitely not 10% of my earnings.
17. Favorite childhood memory? My childhood is just a big mish-mash of stuff. Most everything I remember is good.
18. If you could spend the night with anyone of your choice (lets be creative and think of someone other than signif other) who would it be? If you mean to talk, probably The Beatles. If you mean for other than talking, currently it would probably be Alyson Hannigan.
19. If you could live anywhere else, where would it be? The UK.
20. If you could live another life, what would it be? I never really think in those absolute terms. I just think of tweaking my current life slightly, or living one day as someone/something else (i.e. a circus clown, rock god, a woman, etc.).
21. How bored do you think I am, 1-10 (10 being I just wasted like fifteen minuets making this up so I must be dying of boredom) I personally am at about a 9 since I’m answering this.
