I’ve never been in love. For real or not for real, it doesn’t matter. I’ve NEVER been in love, except with a literary character, and I’m in my twenties, and I wish it would happen, dammit!

Hehe :)
Lots of them. My first literary love was probably Faramir from LOTR when I was 8 or so ;)
But I’ve had many literary sweethearts over the years. Whenever I read a book, I usually find a character to have hots for, just to spice the things up a bit ;)

I think what you are discussing is called by psychologists limerence.
I experience it pretty frequently, and I know that age and being in a loving relationship has nothing to do with whether I am feeling it or not.
Neither does any connection whatsoever between me and the person, so I can well imagine having a “crush” on a fictional character even though it has not happened to me.
