Quit Smoking
I want to quit, but I don't think I can...yet 18 months ago

I have so many addictions, that I feel that this is, sadly, one of my healthier ones. I don’t condone it, and I’m far from ignoring it’s dangerous side affects (ie. my grandpa dying from lung cancer, the lady with the amputated fingers on the subways ads, those ‘truth’ comercials, etc.), but I don’t think I can just give it up, cold turkey or otherwise. I started a year ago, a combination of curiousity and peer pressure, but now I can’t manage to shake it, no matter how many dates I set to quit the ‘addiction.’ I think a realistic approach would be to first reduce the smoke intake. I would say I smoke about 7 or 8 a day, Sunday-Wednesday, and probably 10-12, Thursday-Saturday (nights I go out to bars, clubs, etc). Maybe if I can reduce it by two a day, biweekly, I just might be able to go cold turkey.
