try posting notices in the internet sites of animal lovers, contact animal homes, put out posters and maybe there is a local paper you could put a notice in for free?

my colleague’s dog ran away the siberian huskey. they do run. and she did all this plus contacted police.
the dog was home within a week – there were people contacting who saw it and finally they found the robbers who caught it and had to buy it out.
