be a better mother (read all 10 entries…)

A deliciously unhealthy habit.  — 2 months ago

Just like eating ice cream from the carton with a spoon is a no-no that feels nice, I’ve been letting my kids (and the dog) sleep in my room; my daughter in the bed with me, and my son and the dog on pallets on the floor. It feels good to wake up stepping over soundly sleeping kids and animals, and I know that we all sleep better together, but I gotta stop it. I’ve gotta quit being selfish, and get used to sleeping alone.

Have you ever heard of....

Have you ever heard of an 18 year old sleeping in his mother’s room?? My sons used to sleep in my room when my husband was out of town. Both on the floor with their comforters. I too, loved having them in the room with me.

Over time, as they got older, each of them started sleeping less and less in my room, on their own. :( Now at ages 16 and 18 ~ No more “sleep – overs”.

Enjoy the precious sounds of their breathing and the comfort of having them in your room, I bet by the time their 16, they’ll be back in their bed every night.

goddessglendonia why torture yourself when lfe will do it for you

Omigosh!!!

I sooo do that too!! Not this time tho. I have no choice. They are gone for the summer.
