Considering the particular region and the numerous peoples our leaders have decided to go to war with, I think Arabic would be a good choice.
Japanese would be good as well, acknowledging the idea that it’s waiting in the wings or is as a global leader.
And to round out local needs (I live in Florida, US) Spanish. I took it in high school (required for two years ) but I don’t think I really picked up on it.
