f27 is deciding about the future & the career.
Since 2000 I have been travelling to a new contry each year. In 2003 I travelled to 3 different countries. One for business, two for leasure. It feels great. You get a glimpse of another corner of the world, see how the people live there, you can change the point of view for a while, and you always learn something about youself. Because you are more like a kid than any other time and you are curious about everything. That’s the magic about travelling. My last stop – Munchen, Germany a couple of weeks ago.
Last note – in 2004 I didn’t get much travelling abroad, just around my own country. It feels like I have been sick. Actually, I just had too much work and some personal things to overcome, so I repeated to my self that phrase from ‘fight club’ : “If you wake up at a different place, at a different time would you wake up as a different person?” And I used to tell myself that travelling is a way to get away, not to get over the problems. But now that I am travelling again, I don’t think I was quite right. Travelling always gives you a new perspective, you only need to open up and see it. You can even travel just to a new place in your own country if you can’t afford going abroad…
Finally, you do not have to be frenzy about museums and galleries. Allow time for strolling, mixing with the croud and the places where real life goes on, so as to feel it.
Deffenately worth doing.
