Very happy about it! I wish I knew how long I would get to work, but at least this postponed the crisis by at least a month or two, and I`ll get to stay in the culture section. :)

will be a part of it. The guy I`ve been filling in for is still on part time sickleave, and it will probably take a few months before he`s back full time. So they have decided to combine the rest of his job with the 40% and hire me for that.
I can`t believe how inconsiderate the managing editor is about this though. The secretary is really nice and helpful with these things, and I asked her how long she thinks I`ll have the job. She said she had asked the managing editor, but he can`t say anything about it before he has talked to the guy on sickleave, to find out how long he and his doctor thinks it will take for him to be back full time. That is fair enough ofcourse. Later in the day, I saw the managing editor coming up to the guy to talk to him. So I thought yay, he`s actually being a tiny bit efficient about giving me an answer. But no. I was sitting right next to them so I hard the conversation, he apparently came over to discuss fun concerts and possible poker nights. And then he left. What?? The thing is, the guy on sickleave won`t be there the rest of the week, and then he drops by on monday, which is his last day before vacation. So it`s very likely it will take forever to get a reply.
Jerk! I mean, any reasonably intelligent person would realize that it is important for me to know how long I have a job for. And just maybe talk about that instead of poker. Oh well. At least I have work through august, probably september too.
