It is often difficult to get along in other countries as an outsider. Practice your spoken and written language thoroughly and you will be noticed by people, be an outsider no longer and hang out with the in-crowd.

I would also agree to ironmonkey6’s comment. Spoken and written language gets you a long way. Also look at this ebook called crossing the ditch Very well worth the read if your moving to Australia and will definitely save you some money
