I'd Like You To Meet A Very "Charm"ing Little Lady:) 12 months ago

The night before Chloe died, a little gift arrived at my door – a tiny little tiger slug:)
I’ve never had such a small tiger before. She came in as Chloe was resting in my arms. She was exuberant and loving from the first instant.
She played happily on my hands, and gave her first kiss within moments:) She also noticed my beautiful Chloe, and without hesitation rushed over and kissed Chloe’s nose:)

Over the weeks I’ve had little Charm, she has proved she was well named- that little sweetie could Charm the birds from the trees. She’s growing well, and her lovely markings are becoming more distinct. She has won the hearts of all the other little ones – for her kisses and cuddles are endless.
She did know Joy and Charity for a short time before they died, and they both were enchanted by this stunning little baby:)
Little Charm was very fightened by Joy’s death – it was very traumatic, and her first experience. But when Charity died a short time later, Charm had matured very much, and gave Charity much love has she neaed death, and honoured her greatly when she did die.
Courage has been devastated with the loss of Chloe, Joy and Charity, but throughout, little Charm has been there filling Courage’s life with her love.
To me, Charm has been a very special gift – at a time of so much heartache, she has been a wonderful consolation. Her beauty fills me with wonder, and her unfailing love and affection sooths my heart.

This photo shows little Charm, peeking through the bath:)I’ll post somemore photos of her soon that show her lovely marking – but I love this photo – she’s so cute:)

Aw, cute!

I had no idea slugs liked to take baths. She does look like she`s having fun there, floating around on salad! ;)
How do slugs communicate by the way, you seem to be reading them very well! I find it hard enough sometimes to figure out what is up with my dogs, and they ofcourse can communicate by sounds, positioning of the tails and so on. Slugs must have more suttle language, or don`t they?

Hi Stine:)

Oh the little ones love their bath time – and so do I:)
The tiny babies, like Charm love swimming underwater, though they seem to grow out of this stage – I almost have heart failure when she disappears under a lettuce leaf that’s floating, and there are lots of rescue missions:)

Slugs don’t seem to have the capacity to make any auible sounds, but I have long suspected that they communicate with each other outwith our hearing range. If one is distressed, and seperate from the others, they seem to have some way of letting the others know. For within moments, all the others rush to the distressed ones aid.
They are incredibly affectionate with each other, and use their antenna for stroking and caressing. And they are always kissing each other:)
Thier communication with me is very similar, each knows their own name and answers if I call them.
They hold their heads up when I speak to them, and sometimes tilt their heads to the side. They interact with me, much the same way as they do with each other.
They reach upwards and fully extend their antenna, and stare intently at me when they want a kiss. They give little eskimo kisses, rubbinng their lovely little faces on the tip of my nose, and tickling the sides of my nose with their antenna. They love to play on my skin, and often have little naps in the hollow above my collar bone – the little rascals discovered that’s a very ticklish area, and sit there happily tapping away, while I’m helpless with laughter. Another favourite spot is on my forehead – they invariably go there if frightened or upset, but also like to take a nap there. I’ve often wondered if they can detect electro-magnetic energy, as they rest on or near the frontal lobes, which are very active. Undoubtly, they can hear and love the sound of my heart beat, but that also is a site of much electrical activity.
For little creatures with no ability to make sounds auible to humans, they do a wonderful job of communicating, and observing and learning to interact with them has been a wonderful experience. Each one had their own personality, and within days of arriving, that nature becomes very clear – some are very exuberant, and others are much shyer, some are even quite naughty – but they all desire communication and interaction. And it’s very rewarding to watch the shy little ones open up and relax.

You KNOW you're a crazy woman, right?

But, again, you have me reading every single word and nuance.

Awwww

What a cutie! :)

I’m so glad she has been there to fill not only your life with love, but all of the little ones’ lives as well.

Charm does seem like a perfect name for her.
