Give Indian Food Another Try
Limited Exposure 17 months ago

Born in Phoenix Arizona . I’ve given up on learning to appreciate sea food . A roommate made me try the local rice bowls that started to sprout up in the 80’s . The only thing I like is Teriyaki but i like it very much .
One of my favorite fictional characters , Dave Lister , loves curries . I went to an Indian restaurant once on his recommendation, I was too chicken to try the curry and I wasn’t impressed with what I did order . The beer was good . That restaurant has closed and I’m thinking it wasn’t that good and I didnt give myself a chance to find a favorite Indian dish . Besides millions of Brits and Indians can’t all be wrong .

Indian Food

I live in the Phoenix area too. A good Indian restaurant to try is “Indian Paradise”. It’s located on Hayden road, one strip mall south of the Costco that’s south of Frank Loyd Wright.

The most accessible curry, in my opinion, is the “chicken makhani” or something pronounced very similarly.

It shouldn’t be scarey at all. It’s grilled chicken that’s then stewed with tomatoes, onions, a variety of spices, and butter. Nothing too unusual! The sauce it’s served in is just this stewing sauce. It’s best eaten with plain rice.

But to like Indian food, you have to love strong flavors. If you’re a mild flavors person, it probably won’t be for you.

Good luck, and have fun!
