we were there for a few days one summer – loved it! But it kind of ticked me off that they allow power mowers; that destroyed the calm almost as much as traffic.

I did not realize that. Of course,in the winter they also allow snowmobiles….which aren’t very peaceful either.
Who cares though – I’m going back there in 2 weeks on a field trip! Ahhh the fudge, the lilacs, the horse manure.
