One is the usual stuff: finding a good design, deciding where to have it on my body, finding a good shop, etc. The questions you find here on this goal.
The other is that my husband, bless ‘im, doesn’t like tattoos at all. So do I have one anyway because I want to and because he will continue to love me whether I have it or not? Or do I decide against it because I know he wouldn’t like it?
That’s it really. There are also a lot of posts on here about the pain but I am not so scared of that. Physical pain that goes away.

really at the beginning thoughts of getting a tattoo along with those being some major questions. Especially the one with your husband. Good luck in your quest. You are right the physical pain part does fade away.

my longterm boyfriend does not like tattoos either… but in the end, it is your body :) my advice would be to include him in your trip to the parlor if he wishes to go, because after all its something you want for yourself. he might be touched by the gesture of the invite…
and also dont worry about the pain. it isnt so bad! feels more like an annoying vibration.

He’s okay with it now. It’s not gonna change my personality, he knows that. But with his aversion to needles, I seriously doubt that he would join me! :)
I am not worried about the pain. As I said, it is only physical and that goes away.
