I’ve never fallen into the “change” camp. Who on earth would think one man can change Washington? Especially since you need to beat them at their own game – which is what he’s trying to do now.

However, he’ll still make a great president. And maybe he’ll be able to make some impact around the edges.

I’m jumping on the bandwagon because the Republicans have messed things up soooooooo badly. And McCain is a conservative to the core. No one should be fooled by his “maverick” label. He’s 100% anti-choice, and very anti-civil liberties. He may be more competent than Bush, but more competent at what?

So wrong. And you know it. Blanket statements like “ALL politicians are…” serve no purpose, unless it’s just to relieve yourself of a little bile.

I personally know a LOT of politicians. The vast majority are well meaning, dedicated, and honest. They have sacrificed their privacy, careers and (often) family lives to do the one thing that most folks take for granted, but would never want to do themselves: Serve others.

Being an elected official is one of the toughest jobs imaginable. Sorry, Unc, but you are just plain wrong on this “ALL politicians” statement.
