avoid surgery (read all 2 entries…)
sigh 12 months ago

I had a prolapse, and the 1st doc I saw said I’d most likely need a hysterectomy. Now, I’m only 40, and I’ve been reading about all the sorts of complications associated with that: more prolapsed organs, severed nerves leading to chronic pain or loss of sensation, loss of control of bowel movements…. I’m freaked out a bit. Am looking into alternatives, treating myself everyday….

dear universe, any day now, I’d like to catch a break here….

Friede is back

I can

totally see why you would be freaked out. How severe is it? I think you are totally right to look for alternatives to surgery if you can. Can you take Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang for the particular pattern you have or do you also need Kidney yang support as well? Are you able to see someone else in your area for acupuncture and herbs?
I will personally ask the universe for that break for you.

thank you, Friede

I’m taking Bu Zhong Yi Qi Wan in a patent, ut really should do something for my yang xu too. Am doing a lot of moxa, direct cones, on Bai Hui, Ming Men, and Gaohuang Shu – have trained my husand. i’ve had lots of yang xu problems, and i thought it was getting better – used to have really bad asthma, diarrhea. but now i realize the recurrent fevers i was getting, inflaming my jaw, etc., that led to my teeth extraction, was all leading up to this yang collapse…. Prolapses are common after surgery (according to TCM), and this fit that picture too. Cock’s crow diarrhea returned after the surgery … other yang collapse symptoms…. oh well.

Am doing lots of qi gong too. Am hoping i can find a surgeon willing to do reconstructive surgery….

Thank you so much for your good thoughts and prayers. They’re SO very much appreciated, and needed.

do you have an acupuncturist?

I am guessing yes, from your comment. Sending you healing thoughts and wishes and energy.

no, i don't

just myself, i am an acupuncturist. But wish i had someone trustworthy to go to….

thank you so much for your kind thoughts and wishes, very much appreciated

that's sad!

I’ve been thinking about going to an acupuncturist, but the one I trust is on Southern California. Maybe I can manage to get over there on one of my work trips down. Wish I’d thought about it for my trip coming up next week.

you should try callng anyway

especially if you’re coming from far away, they might schedule you in. i go back to Portland to see my doctor/teacher at least a couple of times a year.

Good luck!

I'll be praying

for you too. This is a big deal—hard to deal with when you’re facing so many challenges already.

Hugs & healing to you.

thank you dear Ruth!

many bows and hugs to you

Prayers and best wishes, pioneerspirit...

This is big stuff. I’m sorry you don’t have another acupuncturist nearby.

I find that I can become quite paralyzed when I think about all that “could go wrong.” A lot of the outcome of surgery rests on the experience of the surgeon. It might be helpful to ask your ob/gyn how many of these procedures he/she has done over the years.

Years ago, I had a very bad result from some routine surgery, requiring more surgery to repair things. The second surgeon was a quiet, competent woman who had years and years of experience, and she was able to give me my foot back, albeit some the worse for the adventure. Her manner was as important as her surgical skill, I swear. I wish you a calm and wise surgeon who can help you through this.

May you get everything and everyone you need, and soon.

than you so much!

Your story is incredible, and your wishes are inspired, thoughtful and so perfect.

many bows to you.
