Partake in Oktoberfest in Germany
Whoa.

Oktoberfest in Germany. Imgaine 50-year-old beer maids with makeup caked on their cleavage carrying 10 (yes, 10!) gigantic mugs of beer (1 liter), sausages made out of anything and everything, japanese business men singing “Ein, zwei, besoffen!” and jaded oompah-band leaders oompahing over it all.

No, really, the actual German people that I saw at Oktoberfest were having a great time, all dressed up in their lederhosen and traditional garb. You have to understand, though, that lederhosen are roughly equivalent to cowboy boots here. These are the hicks of Germany. But they know how to have a good time.

I would say it’s worth it if you happen to be there, but don’t go just for Oktoberfest.
