Madam Ish Imbiber of Espresso & Interpreter of Dreams

Get a bunch of stuff done this week, and don't just while away the days (read all 2 entries…)
5 days of solititude. 3 months ago

Well, mostly. Q is in go-cart camp this week, and DH stayed behind at the lake with the other 3 kids. So I have the days to myself from 9:30ish to 3:30ish. Many things I’d like to get done. I was feeling very ambitious as I drove back from dropping off Q, but here it is 12:45, and already I’ve managed to waste a whole morning with puttering around.

Here’s the week’s list:

Monday

  • phone appliance store about fixing fridge done, they are coming Wed aft, between 1-4pm
  • RSVP luncheon at nursing home done
  • email audiology woman about C’s therapy done
  • move DH’s blood donor appt done
  • visit Mom done
  • clean out currently unplugged, broken fridge done – whew! it was a big job
  • cut grass tonight before it rains done
  • get stuff ready tonight for gym tomorrow

Tuesday

  • personal training Tues morning 10 done
  • physiotherapy Tues evening done, and I have new exercises, and don’t have to go back for a while
  • return library books (including Q’s) and look for coding books done. Couldn’t find what I wanted, though
  • visit Mom done

Wednesday

  • visit Mom
  • Clean up kitchen done
  • plug in dehumidifier done
  • wait for fridge-fixing guy done
  • clean out back up fridge
  • paint Mouse’s bedroom? got some paint samples, but I don’t think it will happen this week
  • fix Mouse’s closet?
  • take H some laundry quarters done
  • put out garbage/recycling Wed night

Thursday

  • visit Mom done
  • pick up reserved book from library done
  • graph paper done
  • math exercise books? looked, but didn’t find what I wanted
  • Visit H and take him out for dinner done
  • find slip saying when Mouse has gymnastics camp done: it’s next week

Friday

  • visit Mom
  • back up to cottage for weekend

go-cart camp

wow. yep, that’s the one for me. we had to clamber over a fence to “break into” the lake the other night—it reminded me of how unmitigatedly rubbish i was at gymnastics.

i read something recently about pottering about being incredibly good for you, so don’t worry about it.

Madam Ish has gotten 4 cheers on this entry.
