JadedForever is sad ...

Read one book a month (read all 12 entries…)
Last Week - 12 months ago

I did read 2 books!

They were really easy reads.
But at least I finally read something!

I was way behind on this goal.

Last night I started a book.
Today I read a little bit more.
I don’t actually like the book.

I think that maybe I will just donate it to the library!
Why read something that I am not enjoying.

READ READ READ!

You are young and have sooooooo much opportunity to read so much! In my late 50’s I found I love to read, but do the math. How many books can I read before I get to my THE END? The more you read the more you will love to. As to the books you don’t enjoy. Gee, so many lists of books. Classics, I say, fit them in. I still have all the kid/young people classics to catch up on, and then all the popular ones. In the book list there is a classic list of 1082 books! Am I behind! Then all the regular popular books. I started with Harry Potter… oh so much creativity in the writing.. I went from there to Oprah.. I trust her and.. WHY? does she want me to read what she picked. Lots of different topics which I probably would not have read, but things to learn about life in each one. Out of the 41 I have read; I can’t remember about 4 of them, and I hated one. Love many. Just amazing how people could make up those stories and so life like!

So, sometimes reading a book others say to read and you don’t like IS worth suffering through it. But a Western, or a love novel—no. Learn as you read. Historical novels..the info is TRUE but the people are made up… Far from stuffy stuff! I try to do one book a week… so much better than TV and I can see all the action and be right there..it is so real.

Being young..read what people who know, say is good…if you don’t like it still read it ALL and find out why YOU don’t like it..and WHY you Should and why it was recommended…..make it a real learning experience.

JadedForever has gotten 2 cheers on this entry.
