I took this picture in my grandmothers yard. She is very wise when it comes to flowers and plants. She told me it was an Amaryllis but after lookin it up i found out that

“Amaryllis is a monotypic (only one species) genus of plant. The single species, Amaryllis belladonna, is a native of South Africa. It is often confused with the Hippeastrum, “

so these flowers are actually Hippeastrum
