cut my own hair (read all 4 entries…)

Worth doing!

I have done it  — 1 month ago

I really really like cutting my own hair! I was doing it dry for about 45 minutes (that is cutting off a lot of hair without being it really short), then pampered myself with a before my head wash and now I have the rollers in. That will be my new look from now on! ;-)
Probably the end result will be visible in a few hours, unless I don’t like it and I start all over again. I really like doing this so maybe I should have become a hair dresser myself… To be continued…

Comments:

Can you tell me how did you do the haircut?? Is it easy to do??? It will be nice to see the finished style as I might want to cut mine like yours…only if you give me instructions : )

how to do it

Well, first I did a V cut by dividing my hair in two parts and cutting them same length. Because my V was to much I cut a little extra off the longest part at the back of my head by putting it in a low poney tail and taking that to the side. Cut not to much because it is really precision work. Then I divided the side of my hair (from the ear forward) in three parts (top of my head, middle and low part) and I cut the middle 1 centimeter shorter then the lower part and the higest part about shoulder lenght. The I did the same at the back of my head and the other side. last but not least I cut a small bang about chin length in an angle but I am not sure that was a good idea. I only tried the poney tail so far before washing it and that looked jumpy and really fun, so I am already sure I can go outside the coming days ;-) In any case my hair is a lot lighter, more fun and moving so that is a good thing in any case. Will keep you posted. I learnt the tricks from the Wella long layering instruction video on you tube, so if you want inspiration you can have a look there. I will tell you later if it is worth to try or not!

I am betting your hair will look just beautiful…...the curls will give it bounce and fullness. I like to use rollers too for my hair. I will check out the youtube link. I will keep checking back for the results!!!
PS.. Show pictures of the back and front so I can see your fantastic cutting skills : )
