phone interview #2 update 3 months ago

Phew, glad that is over! This interview was for a position at my current place of work, so it felt much more awkward and stressful to me than phone interview #1. I don’t feel like I have any distance from these folks because I know them so well and they know me. Also, despite my best efforts to the contrary, the whole process feels rather personal. I hope I did okay. I think I accomplished my goal of not sounding like an idiot, so that is good.

I have verified with my friend/co-worker on the search committee that I indeed did not sound like an idiot. Hooray! I am fulfilled as a human being. ;)

BTW, this whole “not sounding like an idiot” thing is my way of setting a reasonable, achievable objective to contradict my inherent, rampant perfectionism.
