A 120 pound fighting robot for the Battlebots competition in New York in September 2005. it was just about the coolest thing i have ever done…and when it was done i had spent $2000 on a solid metal box that could barely still move. When it was first built, the 9 pound solid aluminum bar spun at 300 mph. DEFINITELY FUN!

Well actually that was like my fourth fighting robot, but the first one i actually fought. My 120 pound had 2 NPC robotics gearmotors for drive with the tires they sell for them, there was another npc motor for spinning the weapon. The frame/armor took up 37 pounds and the 3 batteries added another 30 pounds. I use two Futaba radios, but only one is good enough to pass requirements for safety inspections. if you have an email or im or something, i would be more than happy to tell you all about what i learned, what i would do better, how to start, etc
