I imagined an IDE would simplify the learning curve and sure enough dreamweaver came through. With the getting started tutorials and the ide’s tooltips and wizards, I’m able to understand what’s going on more than any previous attempts.

I’m at a point in the tutorials where I’m learning to create a dynamic site. To finish this tutorial I will need to set-up a server. I’m thinking I’ll purchase a hosting service for this. Any suggestions for a good, cheap web hosting service? I’ve heard the name PowWeb thrown around; if no better suggestions come in I’ll go with them.

But before going ahead, I think it’s time I put the thinking cap on an draw-up a few web pages of my own. You know, test all this new knowledge.
