spend more quality time with my family (read all 2 entries…)
any suggestions? 17 months ago

We’ve been spending a lot of time together, altho I’m not sure I’d classify it as ‘quality’ time. It’s so hard to get hubby and daughter “unplugged” to do much of anything. Sometimes I miss the days when we didn’t have computers, a tv in nearly every room, video games and cell phones. Every idea I come up with they think it’s ‘boring’. Any suggestions? In case it helps my daughter is 12 and hubby is the outdoorsy 35 year old who suddenly wants to be a teen again and playing video games and chatting on the computer all the time.

thanks

Those are some really great ideas, I haven’t even thought about a DVD game, that might keep their attention some. We do have a movie night ever so often, but I’m not sure if that feels like ‘quality time’ or not because even tho we’re together we’re really still not sharing anything other than watching a movie, and we do plenty of that on the tv at home.
