learning esperanto

I had never heard of esperanto before checking this site out, but I am so glad that I put it on my list. Esperanto has to be the easiest language to learn. There are no genders, very few rules, and no weird conjugations. I’ve learned more in one lesson than from for years worth of German classes. Plus I like the idea of one international language. Anyone interested can go to esperanto-usa.org for free online courses.

Great. I think you’ll enjoy Esperanto. I became fully conversational in it after a year of study, and greatly enjoyed the Pan-American Esperanto Congress in Montreal last year (Tut-Amerika Kongreso de Esperanto).

Now I want to move up to true fluency in it.

I lead a small local Esp-o club in Norfolk, VA. Our Web page is at http://bonege.com
