save up an emergency beach holiday fund (read all 10 entries…)

Last time 16 months ago

I had a beach holiday (the only time actually) I had one full day (2 nights, sandwiched by two days travelling!) on a beach in Thailand. And to be honest one day was about all I could stand.

I reckon I’d get through two days at least this time.
And (as I discussed with Leopard last night) my vision of a beach holiday also involved a large airy hotel room, a balcony with billowing curtains, a giant bed with crisp fresh white sheets, and me, possibly with my laptop, writing.

I really really want to make this happen now!

it was

awesome!! this was the first time, we didn’t go just for the beach but the beach was great. I did a few days of sightseeing in Bangkok, and my friend (who hates sightseeing) went and hung out in a hut in the jungle filled with snakes and creepy crawlies and kept all her important things in ziplock bags. We met up for this day on the beach – probably the most successful joint holiday I’ve ever been on!

how about Railey beach

and some islands around that?? and and Pangan island in the gulf of thailand. i can go from end of Feb to end of April. We can go snorkelling, cayaking and be island hoppers..

From on, it will rain alot on Andaman sea and the islands will be open for high season from November until the beginning of May. I will be busy from November – mid of Feb.. after that i will be free agian..

this is exciting!!!

this beach holiday idea is catching fire. I am only an hour or so from the beach, I should really go now that gas prices are on the way down for the moment…
