There was a ferry strike on the way back from France to Dover. So the alternative was to ride the Chunnel. It was only a 45 minute trip compared to a 2-hour (or so) ferry ride. The downside was that there was no “view”. All you saw through the window was a black wall. Thank goodness the trip was quick!
