Day Two: The Daily Plate 4 months ago

After seeing a couple of people mention this site recently, I decided to take a look. I’m hooked! It’s like my former favorite calorie counting site, Fitday, only better. They have the calorie and nutrition information for absolutely everything we eat. For now, I’m not going to specifically try to limit my calories. I don’t want anything to hurt my milk supply, and I know a big dip in daily calories could do that. Instead, I’m going to use it just to see exactly what I’m eating. I think having it all recorded will encourage me to make healthier choices.

I Like that site too,

although I’ve been so busy this weekend I ahven’t logged onto it.

It is very informative!

Fun site

I love seeing my glass of water fill up throughout the day:) Just seeing how many calories the things I like to eat have is a huge help. Today I had Noodles for lunch. I had a small Penne Rosa and a Snickerdoodle Cookie. The Penne Rose was 400-some calories…not too horrible for a rich and creamy pasta dish. The Snickerdoodle had even more calories!!! Just knowing that might be enough to keep me from getting them or to only get one if I have someone to share it with.

Yes it is eye-opening!

last week we had two days of meeting here at work that included box lunches. One day the lunch was from the Atlanta Bread Company, and it was yummy, but I found out later that my cookie had 400 calories!

I definitely think this site will help me to make much better food choices!
