This weekend I wrote a poem! A first really (well, at least one that wasn’t an assignment). I was taking a pleasant summer walk and, smack, the theme just hit me (or was that a bee?). I am even considering going to an open mic night to read it. This would be a huge step outside my comfort zone as I tend to shy away from public speaking especially if it is my own work.
