learn to cook indian food
One meal probably doesn't count. 17 months ago

Good intentions – and bookmarked recipes – aside, I haven’t really been working on this much at all. It’s too bad – I love Indian food, and I know it would be so much more satisfying if I made it myself.

I need to get on this.

Book

There’s a great book that has a chapter on Indian food. It is called “The Best International Recipe”. It is only 7 dollars on amazon, but is very big. I just recently bought a copy and I love it! It recipes from all over the world, and is separated by region. You might find it helpful in learning how to cook indian food. It has a recipe for samosas that my family has tried, and they tasted great! Good luck. :)

Ooh.

I really don’t need another cookbook – they’re a bit of an addiction – but I must admit, I’m tempted.

I’m also craving samosas now.

Addicted to cookbooks

The recipe book also has a lot of things to read that are right next to the recipes. It’s very interesting to read. I know what you mean when you say that cookbooks are an addiction. My family needs a new cook-book-shelf, because there isn’t any room for a few of the books. :)

I’m at the point where every time I buy a new cookbook, one of the old has to go into storage to make room. (Which is fine for now – I’ve still got some old ones that never get used anymore… but it’s going to get tricky soon.)

I just looked up ‘Best International Recipes’ on Amazon – is it the Cooks Illustrated one?

Yup!

It is the cook’s illustrated one. :)

... assuming I’m willing to share. :)

And I have no idea what happened with that deleted comment. My computer crashed mid-edit, and when I came back, there it was.
