feel better about myself
i bought a book. 17 months ago

it’s called “ten days to self-esteem” by david burns. it only took me like, a year to actually pick it up. but so far.. i feel like it is really helping. a lot of the things that he says are really just common sense. i think that my problem was that i had some bad experiences which lowered my self-esteem and made me have this incredibly irrational and mean inner-voice. one of the tools that they tell you to try is asking yourself, “would i say this to a friend (or anyone) in my position?” 99% of the time (i’ve found) i absolutely would NOT say the things that i say to myself to anyone else. i think i would make people cry if i did! but that exercise alone has been so revealing. and it’s so simple!

so, no.. i havent completely fixed my self-esteem.

but i am damn well on my way! go me!!
