Help start a Bike to Work Day event in Downtown Houston

I started biking to work as a way to increase my training time for the MS 150. I am convinced it helped me complete the “whole enchilada”. 3 months after I crossed the finish line, I am still biking to work. I think there may be others who, like me just need a little push to try it.
So far I have engaged a Shell employee’s group called SEED, Team Shell (the MS150 riders from Shell) and BikeHouston. We are looking for a way to find MS 150 team captains from other companies with a presence downtown.

Bicycle to Work day is usually in May. Usually they try to have promotions that last beyond just the day so people can get into the habit of cycling, not just do it once. Do you have a bike club in Houston that promotes bicycle to work/school day?

Any interest in joining any of the 43thing goals around monthly or annual mileage? I can help point you to a few of these. Of course, since you live in Houston, you may pedal less in July and August compared to us in more northerly latitudes!
