lately I’ve been on a fruit jag. Our raspberries are ripe; every morning I’ve been picking about 1 cup for breakfast. Yesterday at Costco I bought tangerines, cherries and bananas. Paco’s friend Colin came to help Paco with a big yard cleanup job today and I could offer him a yummy plate of fresh fruit, a croissant and iced hibiscus tea!

right off the vine

is just unbeatable isn’t it?Someday I will learn to make freezer jam and then you can help consume the fruit crop! And who knew – some sweetpeas are blooming! I planted them about a month late as we had a hard frost and snow in April here in Seattle!

I adore sweetpea’s,
I love the scent and the raggy nature of the blooms. Any unruly flower is a fave of mine.
I have some in my front garden but they have almost gone, they bloom early and get a little too much sun.
I love to have a few in a jar on the kitchen window, sunny , cheery flowers : D
