I’d been putting off getting my driver’s license for years – I had an irrational fear that I just wouldn’t be able to drive (me = short attention span), or that I would get in an accident and hurt someone. I decided to go for it in April, I was determined to get it before my 29th birthday—and it was so easy. I passed the exam with top marks. Now I’m wondering how I ever let that mental roadblock dominate my actions for so long. Silly.

Congrats
Wish I could have your mentality about it. You seem really happy about it. I hope that you continue to enjoy it and keep that sense of confidence – It truly is a privilege to drive, and I know from what I can imagine it’s like when you finally overcome that obstacle.
I hope I can be the next to conquer that fear.
Hey, thanks. It’s pretty weird, because I’m not usually afraid of trying new things – but in this case, for whatever reason, I just dwelled on all the things that could go wrong. I actually turned out to be a great driver. So if I have any advice for you, it would be to set yourself a goal date and set the wheels in motion straight away.
