The most important factors to me in choosing these statements is that they really:
Strike me as important
Comfort or uplift me when I say them, like a sort of calm washing over my being.
For example, when I’m freaking out about moving out, I can breathe in and go: In Jess we trust.
Today’s latest addition came from a journaling entry about needing to step back from drawing security from other people and the numbers in the bank. I reminded myself that I am a surviver, that I can survive with what life throws me, that I always have. So thinking about money lead to “In G-d we Trust” (even though I’m Canadian) which lead to my “Thou art G-d”, spiralling into it’s final form.
Hmm… maybe: “Hit the ground and keep running” would be another one. I also toyed with the idea of adding Carpe Diem or a varation there of.
