It’s not that he’s not a playful cat, but toys don’t seem to excite him. He looks at them like he knows what he’s supposed to do, but doesn’t care to do it. I got him a little spring-mounted boppy-thing and he just looks at it like “yeah, so?” Same for the cat-nip filled purple mouse toy, the pop-up tunnel, and even the cardboard scratching pad everyone told me he’d love.
I don’t know what else to get for him.
You have to get him one of these toys with a ball that goes around in the circle but never comes out. My cat barely touches any toy—but that one he plays with every single day!!

Honestly by now I’m just looking for a new home for him (not because he won’t play with his toys, but for various other reasons that have lead me to the conclusion that he is the devil in fluffy cat form).
But if I get a different cat I’ll keep that in mind. I was actually surprised that he won’t even use the cardboard scratching pad thing I bought him. I was told by pretty much everyone how much their cats love those.
