Have done this 16 months ago

for a while now when necessary – not every week, but it’s helped me keep less on hand, therefore wasting less money in groceries that sit around on a shelf instead of being eaten up. I’d say it’s worth it! I spend less on prepared foods because I plan out a crockpot meal or two and freeze them for lunches.

What are some of your tricks for doing this?

I find that I plan for 6-7-8 meals and then I only end up making 3-4 of them and the rest of the meal just ends up going back in my fridge. I have a chest freezer so I really have no excuse but I’d like to hear about someone else’s tricks of the trade.
