The Lord is faithful...

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I know you don’t know me at all, in fact, I don’t know you either. I was actually searching for fun things to do on a road trip and some how ended up at this 43 things website. I read yours and it made me sad for you. My mom was diagonsed with breast cancer last summer. It is a hard thing to deal with. Losing someone you love so much hurts deeply. I know my situation is not exactly like yours but your “find my faith again” comment was on my mind. I know it does not make sense now, why your friend passed away, but I just want to encourage you that the Lord is bigger than us, bigger than our understanding. It is so hard to trust in something we don’t understand. It is so much easier for us to believe that what we want to happen is best for us, best for everyone. I went to this cool church called New Spring in SC and heard a sermon specifically dealing with what it sounds like you have been dealing with. If you want to listen to it, here is the website. http://www.newspring.cc/
If you click on the downloads on the left hand page a bunch of sermons will come up. Click on the sermon called “What gives Jesus the Blues” under the itunes series. It was a really amazing message. Sometimes the Lord uses difficult situations to bring glory to himself, even when we do not understand them. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you are on my heart and I am praying for you.
