sega702 trying to learn how to better use 43 things

run my house on solar power
Here we go! 16 months ago

So I have become very interested in being more self sufficient, This decision is based on my desire to not give all of our hard earned money to the power company for something that can be free. The benifits of doing this are that I am able to shift the flow of earned income to more badly needed areas within our household, also help the inviroment, and allow myself to teach others what I have learned and help them in the way i am trying to help myself.

So far my first step has been to become educated about solar energy and how it works, what some of the benifits are and weigh them against some of the disadvantages. I did this by using the internet, and the public library.

The second step has been to make a search in my local area and that is where I am now. I have sent in a electronic interest card to a company operating in my town, and hope to make a home appointment withing the next week. The site I found to set this up was
http://www.solargenerations.com/

Keep tuned in i will post what else happens soon!

That's My Plan

When I build my home, I want it to be a green home. Electricity is a bit much and having solar power is the way to go. I will check out the site you have listed. Good luck!
