It’s worth it if you work for the right place. I work at a rich restaurant in a rich town, so I make good tips even on a bad night. And considering that I’m just starting out (which makes for a lot of bad nights, believe me.) and I’m still leaving with $50-100 per 3 1/2 hour shift, I’d say that that’s some good money. Although the tradeoff is minimum wage and taxes taken our of your tips, leading to pretty small paychecks ($44 for 10 hours. eesh.) But if you can get a job with a steady, reliable salary where you don’t have to do too much manual labor, I would reccomend that instead.
