Today I am grateful for : 11 months ago

• long awaited rain finally
• our rain water tanks are now overflowing
• hopefully more rain to fill up our dam
• having to cancel a dental appointment (hehee!) The roads are blocked across the mountain as we had heavy snowfalls last night, so no traffic is getting through
• being able to stay inside toasty warm and sew or knit, whatever my heart desires

Snow!

I went outside last night to move some pots away (so they wouldn’t blow away in the wind) and my car was covered in snow. I wonder if it will snow again today…

I know..

.... they say there will be more in the next day or so..

DH had to go into town last night and only just made it over the mountain – very treacherous. He had to come back home the coast road, and he said it was snowing all along to Gordon. Took him over 2 hours :(

Rain?

Do you guys use rainwater for your gardens and such? I’ve been watching “It’s Not Easy Being Green” and they set up a cistern system for a farm in Scotland this week…

That's all we have Mary..

... rain water tanks and our dam. We have an enviro system for our grey water, that takes the clean water to my orchard..
