When I do go to Iceland, I’m going to ask that a lot, and don’t want to do the regualar tourist-who-doesn’t-know-the-language blank stare in someone’s face when I don’t know what to say!

If your still looking for it, what I did was go on
system preferences>international>input menu
and then tick the box for Icelandic.
Then, on the top bar near where it says the time, click on the flag that’s usually there and the Icelandic flag will be in the drop down menu. This changes the keyboard to Icelandic.

ó is ’ followed by the letter (you’ll work it out)
