celebrate my 3 year anniversary on 43 Things (read all 2 entries…)

Saturday! 11 months ago

On Saturday I will have been here for threeeeeee years! I can hardly believe it. My life has changed almost beyond recognition.

I shall be spending the weekend of my anniversary in Dublin with my beloved, Headapollo, who I met on 43T. On Saturday I’ll be attending a career-strategy course facilitated by my friend, coach and mentor weallareone, who I also met on 43T, and on Sunday HA and I will be hanging out with our friends Evenstar42 and Simon. Both of whom I met on 43T. Fitting, right?

It really did...

..in so many ways. I’m less active here than I used to be, but I can’t see myself ever quitting totally – it’s one of my touchstones.

Completely unplanned too. Well, I mean, I’m not going to Dublin by accident, but I didn’t mean to have such a 43-filled weekend on that particular occasion.

Your timing was slightly off.

Due to Evie’s partying ways and the resulting hangover, and the need the other three of us felt for a massive fry-up, we didn’t actually meet until about 3pm. But we missed you, and toasted you with water, Coke, smoothies and fresh pineapple.

And yes, I hope to be here for many years to come. I’m so glad I discovered this place, for so many reasons.

Awww, was Evie still hungover?

I told her to drink Tequila (or was it coffee vodka?) for breakfast to cure it, but she wouldn’t listen.

I appreciate the toasts, especially the water and Coke. Smoothies and pineapple are a little too healthy for me.

It is a testament to your lack of nutritional knowledge that you think smoothies are healthier than water.

That's kind...

but a total lie – I was neither radiant nor lucid, not after an obscene quantity of vodka and three hours’ sleep the night before! It was so lovely to see you though, and wandering around the modern art museum in hungover befuddlement was a pleasingly surreal experience :o)
