This is a great thing, as long as someone finds your book and registers it. I’ve only released about 3 books into the wild, and only one was found. I have a feeling the other 2 were probably thrown in the trash because I left them at a food court in the mall and at a starbucks. This really bothered me that I went to all the trouble to give my books a new home, only to ‘assume’ they were thrown out. I’m looking for other ways now to get rid of my old books. Maybe selling them on Amazon.com?
great as long as...
Comments:
I am not sure if you have heard of paperbackswap.com
but I joined that after bookcrossing and for some reason it has made me so much happier.
Part of it is the fact that i know the books are going to someone who really wants them and I also like that I get credit for what I send so that I can get books myself.
I guess it kinda defeats the “random” find aspect of bookcrossing but I found myself getting so irrated with BC that this has become my neew book option.
